Watch the Fateful Bet in 360 with This SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Featurette

Die hards know this game. In Solo: A Star Wars Story, we will see all the hi-jinks Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) gets up to – including some of his famous beats before the original trilogy. In Empire Strikes Back, we met his friend Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and learned that Han won his ship from him in a card game. Now, 38 years later, we get to see that card game up close and personal with this new 360 video. And let me just say, it’s pretty awesome.

The video sets the scene, you’re in the gambling den with Han Solo and all those shady characters that like to lurk there. After a couple scene transitions, we’re dropped right on the table, staring at Lando. He places his bet and stares at Han. When you move to Han, you can see his reaction and his placing bet. But the odds aren’t high enough for Lando. Both of them are showing off their bravado as the stakes are higher.

This is a really, really fun little video. We get a great look at the other gamblers, including Therm Scissorpunch. We get to see each of the characters expressions with the dialogue, as though you can see the whole room. I’d be lying to you if I said I wasn’t spinning around in my chair on my phone just to watch both Lando and Han trying to best each other. You’ll have to see just how much they put on the line in the video below.
