M. Night Shyamalan is bringing his newest horror to Apple TV+. Servant is a creepy tale about a nanny, with a twist to toy with your loyalties. The trailer, alone, is upsetting.
As soon as you start the trailer, you’re like… what’s going on with that baby? Personally, I was clocking the times that they were clearly using a double for the baby, and that’s normal Hollywood stuff, right? No. Wrong. That is no baby. It’s not intended to be. This is a story about grief and what it does to your brain. The baby is gone, and they got a nanny for the baby’s look-a-like dolly replacement. Ugh.
That’s not all. This trailer, unlike the teasers, makes it clear that something is amiss with the baby-sitter. She’s very, very okay with the baby/not-baby. It’s chilling. And, there’s a mystery here. At one point in the trailer, a man’s voice says “what if she remembers?” Does he refer to the wife or the babysitter? What did they do to that baby? Ugh.
Check it out.
Doubt what you believe. From M. Night Shyamalan, Servant follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.
