Season four of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD was the most action packed and strongest season. SHIELD had a new director, Jeffrey Mace (Jason O’Mara), who we thought was Inhuman, but he wasn’t… The Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) joined the Agents in a fight to stop the Darkhold from destroying the world. The Agents also received help from Dr. Holden Radcliffe (John Hannah) and his Artificial Intelligent Digital Assistant, or AIDA (Mallory Jansen). Or so they thought.
AIDA created Life Model Decoys of the agents and set a plan in motion to become human. AIDA trapped the real Agents in an alternate Hydra reality. She succeeded in becoming a real girl, but couldn’t handle the emotions. The agents defeated AIDA, saved the team, and Ghost Rider took the Darkhold to another realm.
Despite saving the world, the agents found themselves on the other side of the law. They were all taken into custody, but the question is…who took them? Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) woke up in space. So here we are…

Here’s what we know about Season 5 so far. The AoS panel at NYCC released the first 20 minutes of the season premiere, titled “Orientation”. The first 20 minutes showed a lot of confusion for the team. The team, minus Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), are on a space station, where there are other humans aboard. The humans know who the agents are. No one can tell the agents where they are, who has them and why they were taken. Not much to go on, but still very exciting.
In the first season 5 promo, there a lot of fighting going on. The Agents are being chased by some blue metal alien dog. Some dude in a mask, looks similar to Star Lord’s mask, shows up. And it appears that the capturers could be the Kree. There are definitely lots of questions. Where are they? Who are they saving? And from who? And finally, what do they want with SHIELD Agents? Oh and has May ever flown a spaceship? The team must stick together to figure out how to get home.
