Chris Evans is back. This time on our television screens. Evans stars in Defending Jacob, an Apple TV Plus series based on the the best-selling 2012 novel by William Landay. 

According to the official synopsis, ‘this gripping, character-driven thriller, a shocking crime rocks a small Massachusetts town and one family in particular, forcing an assistant district attorney to choose between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son.”

Evans plays Andy Barber, the assistant district attorney and Michelle Dockery plays his wife, Laurie Barber. The shocking crime involves their son Jacob (Jaeden Martell) who is accused of murdering a classmate. The series’ incredibly tense plot has Andy and Laurie fighting for their son’s innocence. Defending Jacob also stars Cherry Jones, Sakina Jaffrey, Betty Gabriel, Pablo Schreiber and J.K. Simmons
