During Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night, and with no warning, the Assassin’s Creed movie trailer dropped.
With this release we finally get a good look at Michael Fassbender in action in both the present and the past incarnations of Callum Lynch & Aguilar. The trailer gives us a much better idea of everything far more than any stills could.
Couple of thoughts:
Finally get a decent look at the Animus.
Set during the Spanish Inquisition (insert Monty Python joke).
What we do see of the action sequences could have been pulled straight from the games. This is a good thing.
This I am going to get excited about so bear with me. WE GET A LADY ASSASSIN! Queue me running around my living room screeching with joy. I mean, I’ve seen the stills but I was hesitant to believe we would actually see her in action. Watching her fighting and jumping makes me so very, very happy.
Also, super hero landing! Super hero landing! (I couldn’t resist)
Shortly after the trailer released, the poster was revealed on the Assassin’s Creed Facebook page. Take a look below, it’s simply stunning and evokes so much of the games from a minimal style poster.
Suddenly, my excitement level for this movie has managed to skyrocket. Hopefully it delivers and doesn’t fall victim to the video game movie curse.
