And The Flash just won Television.

Pack up. Go home every other show.

Fans have been begging for Wally West to make an appearance in the show and now, here, lo and behold, we have word that dreams are coming true as Keiynan Lonsdale has been cast as Barry Allen’s young nephew.

In the comics, he want on to become Flash’s sidekick, “Kid Flash,” and then went on to become The Flash himself after Barry Allen died saving the multiverse in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Wally West carried the mantle of The Flash up until Final Crisis, when Barry Allen came back.

But who’s this Keiynan Lonsdale guy that’ll be embodying such a beloved character? You might remember him best from his role as Uriah in the Divergent series, where we’ll next see him in Allegiant: Part 1.

That being said, it seems that this guy will really be able to carry the character really well.

It remains to be confirmed if Wally West will also be a speedster, but as Comic Book Resources points out, the art that accompanied the announcement would lead us to believe that the CW is certainly considering that. Also, Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement, “Just like when we met [series lead] Grant [Gustin] for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”

He called him a “hero” and compared him to Grant Gustin. Seems like the writing is on the wall for getting ourselves yet another speedster on the show. Along with Barry Allen, we’ve also got Zoom and Jay Garrick in the mix now. If Reverse-Flash Harrison Wells Eobard Thawne makes it back in to the mix, we’ll have a five way speed force battle royale on our hands!

Season 2 of The Flash premieres October 6th on the CW.
