The Walking Dead fans have had 10 weeks to prepare for the worst, saddest, most disappointing death of all time!! Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) ends his apocalypse journey on the next episode, “Honor.” If you watched the TWD Marathon this past weekend, you saw the latest promo, dedicated to Carl, titled “Carl’s Journey Ends.”
The trailer shows scenes of how Carl has impacted not only Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) decisions, but their whole group. Carl has always been a fighter with a big heart. He stood up to Shane (Jon Bernthal) in Season 2 when all hope of finding Sophia (Madison Linz) was lost. He was the first to accept Michonne (Danai Gurira) as “one of us.” And there were many times when Carl had to remind Rick why they were fighting.

It happened in Episode 8 of this season. Carl was helping newcomer Siddiq (Avi Nash) clear out a handful of walkers. One walker hovered over Carl when a second moved in to bite him. He revealed his fate to Rick and Michonne at the end of the mid-season finale. There is no doubt Carl’s death will effect everyone, including Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). This will be hard one to watch. Get your tissues and watch the latest promo for The Walking Dead below.
The Walking Dead returns Sunday February 25 on AMC where”Rick faces new difficulties after a battle. Meanwhile, the fight continues in other communities as core members face hard decisions.”
