Crow Country

Turn back time to 1990 with SFB Games’ Crow Country. The third-person survival shooter takes place two years after the mysterious disappearance of Edward Crow. This, in turn, causes the abrupt closure of his theme park, which was left abandoned until the arrival of Mara Forest. Players will guide her through the terrifyingly quiet theme park as they uncover secrets that will only pull them further into the darkness. From everything we have seen, this looks right up our alley. Spooky with an old-school feel? Count us in.

Crow Country drops on May 9, 2024, for PC through Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Endless Ocean Luminous

The Endless Ocean Luminous game dives onto the Nintendo Switch on May 2, 2024.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Nintendo celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original release of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door by releasing an all-new HD remake for the Nintendo Switch. Peach asks Mario to go on a treasure hunt but suddenly goes missing. Help Mario find ancient artifacts called Crystal Stars to open the Thousand-Year Door and save the world. Explore a magical paper world filled with dragons, mysterious towns and many more surprises.

Mario will even make some new friends along the way. Each has a cool, unique ability, like Madame Flurrie, who can blow away obstacles to reveal new paths. The turned-based battles take place on a stage before a rowdy audience, so make it count. Equip badges or channel Crystal Star power for extra special attacks to ensure a win. Will you find all of the Crystal Stars in time?

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door releases for the Nintendo Switch on May 23, 2024.

Hauntii

We love cozy exploration games, which is why we can’t wait for Moonloop Games’ Hauntii. Players explore a hauntingly beautiful world as they make their way through the afterlife in search of answers. The hand-crafted art style was the first thing to grab our attention. The design and two-tone palette are breathtaking. Mix that in with our brave little ghost’s different abilities, and we can’t wait to get our hands on this adventure.

Hauntii will be released on May 23, 2024, for PC through Steam, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S.

Paper Trail

Nintendo fans are finally getting a chance to play Paper Trail. This unique game is a top-down puzzle adventure about leaving home in a foldable, paper world. Lorelei and The Laser Eyes

Our final most anticipated video game for May is Simogo and Annapurna Interactive’s Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. Get ready to fall into a rabbit hole of mystery as you guide a woman through an old hotel at the whim of an eccentric man. The non-linear is filled with puzzles and riddles that will lead you further and further into this mystery. Who knows what we will find on the otherside, but we can’t wait to start this journey.
