Who’s ready for more internet references?! Today we got a new trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 and we get a much better look at the story. We got a lot more references, a voice acting debut by a wonderful woman, and so much more.

Our trailer starts with the beginning. Vanellope got too into her race and ignored the kid playing the game, causing them to fight for control. Because of that, the driving wheel is broken and the game is shut off. Ralph figures out that they just need to replace the part and they’ll be back in business, and the only way to find that part? The internet! And hijinks ensue! Including pop-ups, the dark net, and more. They come across a way to make money online by playing video games. One such video game is Slaughter Race, a “wicked dangerous” game that racer Shank (voiced by Wonder Woman‘s Gal Gadot) is a part of. She becomes close to Vanellope and the young racer realizes she doesn’t want to leave the internet but doesn’t want to hurt Ralph’s feelings. What will she end up doing?

I would like to immediately point out that Disney Rick Roll’d us. I don’t like it – but I also love it cause I adore that song completely on it’s own! There are so many more references to pick up on in this trailer, including appearances by Buzz Lightyear and the lovable Baymax. Cat memes are seemingly going to become a big part of the movie and include things like flossing, screaming goats, and so, so much more. The movie will end up being pretty dated in a few years, but that’s part of the fun, right? We can all laugh at ourselves as we enjoy and celebrate the tool that has brought people across the world together. And given us so many memes.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think! What’s been your favorite reference so far? Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Disney fun.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.”
