X-men KILLED the holiday weekend box office raking in over $111 million dollars making it the 5th best opening ever for Memorial Day Weekend. That’s only in the U.S., The film made $261 million world wide.
If the geeks weren’t buying tix for X-Men Days of Future Past they were in line for Godzilla which made $39 million in its second weekend or The Amazing Spiderman 2 which made $10 million in its 4th week.
Between X-Men, Captain America and Spiderman, the top of the Box Office has belonged to Marvel for 5 of the last 8 weeks.
