Blumhouse and WWE have found their showrunners for The United States of America vs Vince McMahon. Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue have signed on to write and executive produce the limited series.
The series is the first scripted dramatic portrayal of this part of WWE’s history. It is also the first scripted portrayal of Vince McMahon and many WWE Superstars from the 90s.
During the time represented, Phil Mushnick, a New York Post writer, wrote multiple articles about McMahon, who was the WWE Chairman and CEO. Mushnick’s columns eventually drew the attention of the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Eastern District of New York.
The story follows McMahon’s life when he was indicted and stood trial for allegedly supplying WWE talent with anabolic steroids. The jury acquitted McMahon.

“Blumhouse is thrilled to be partnering with Noah and Micah on this project. Their ability to bring iconic characters to life in a nuanced, dramatic and fully realized way is the reason they are the perfect fit to tell the story of The United States of America Vs. Vince McMahon,” said Chris McCumber, President, Blumhouse Television.
“Vince McMahon is a living legend. We are thrilled to tell his larger-than-life story with our partners at Blumhouse and WWE,” said Fitzerman-Blue and Harpster.
Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber and Jeremy Gold will also executive produce.
Development for The United States of America vs Vince McMahon was announced in 2021. It does not yet have a release date.
