“In a race for $5 billion, be careful who you trust.”

On Thursday, Sony unveiled the final trailer for their upcoming video game adaptation of Uncharted, starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Victor “Sully” Sullivan. Judging by the said trailer, it appears we’re in for a wild, action-packed, buddy-bromance ride.

Here’s the synopsis for Uncharted per Sony Pictures Entertainment

Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago.

What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs.

If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother, but only if they can learn to work together.

Based on the mega-popular PlayStation game from Naughty Dog with the story by Amy Hennig, Uncharted boasts an all-star cast including Sophia AliTati Gabrielle and Antonio BanderasRuben Fleischer helms the project with a screenplay from Rafe Lee Judkins, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Judkins, Jon Hanley Rosenberg and Mark D. Walker spearhead the screen story.

This final trailer highlights Nathan and Sully’s relationship. It reminds me of the typical “older, grizzled man takes a younger, fresher face under his wing” dynamic. One running theme is, undoubtedly, “How many times can we throw Tom Holland off stuff without him suffering serious injuries?”

Uncharted soars into theaters on Friday, February 18. Tickets will be available for presale on January 30.
