We don’t know much about Peacock’s upcoming action-comedy series Twisted Metal, but we now know that Stephanie Beatriz will be joining Anthony Mackie on screen. The series will feature half-hour-long episodes that bring the classic PlayStation game series to life. Michael Jonathan Smith serves as showrunner/executive producer/writer under Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions and Universal Television.

Alongside Mackie’s John Doe, Beatriz will be taking on the role of Quiet. She is a ferocious badass car thief who acts purely on instinct. We dare you to try and stop her. Quiet comes from a community that oppressed her into silence, hence the name, and left her wishing to find her place within the dark, chaotic world. But things in her life become clouded and she heads off in search of revenge. Quiet finds an unlikely and antagonistic bond with John Doe.

Twisted Metal sets its sights on providing viewers with a high-octane action-comedy based on an original take by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. It centers around Mackie’s motor-mouthed outsider John Doe. When given a chance at a better life, he jumps at the idea. The only caveat is that he needs to successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Between his epic driving skills and Quiet’s trigger-happy car thievery, they are sure to survive the savage marauders and other dangers on the open road.

Twisted Metal is still early in production, but maybe, just maybe, we will see this hit Peacock’s streaming service sometime next year.
