TWISTED METAL Season 2 Adds Anthony Carrigan and More to Cast

The Peacock series, Twisted Metal, has added four actors to the cast for Season 2 including Barry breakout star, Anthony Carrigan

Twisted Metal is an irreverently cheeky, action-comedy based on the classic PlayStation game. The game series is “based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland) and written by Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai). The first season is about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.”

Anthony Mackie stars in Twisted Metal as a charming courier, also called a “milkman”, named John Doe. Stephanie Beatriz alongside Mackie as Quiet, a traumatized car thief who usually acts solely on instinct. Beatriz is dynamic in this role which was created for the television series. The fan-favorite, deranged clown Sweet Tooth is played by Joe Seanoa with Will Arnett voicing the character.

Season 2 brings Anthony Carrigan into the mix as a series regular and, according to Peacock, Carrigan will play Calypso. He is the mysterious, charismatic host and creator of a dangerous demolition derby tournament, who invites all assassins, vigilantes, mercenaries and joyriders to participate. To the winner, he offers the prize of making their greatest wish come true, but with Calypso there’s always a twist…

Joining Carrigan as guest stars are Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim and Tiana Okoye. However, Peacock hasn’t revealed what roles they will play.
