Hannah Waddingham is on three episodes of the show (two, three, and four) and portrays Lady Bellaston. She is Sophia’s aunt who is considered a trickster. She is among the family members who wants to forbid the love between Sophia and Tom. However, she also tries to get Tom’s attention herself.

Hocus Pocus 2
When the news of Hocus Pocus 2 broke, fans were extremely excited to see the Sanderson sisters back on their screen. This time around, it is two teenage girls who bring them back to life and have to stop them before they wreak havoc once more.
The big highlight of the movie is that it goes back and tells the story of how the Sanderson sisters came to be these powerful witches. It is then that we meet Mother Witch and Waddingham appears on the scene. Even though she is only in the movie for one scene, it was so memorable that it left fans wanting more — maybe even a movie of her own.

Sex Education
Sex Education is a Netflix show that premiered in 2019 and its fourth season will premiere later this year. Otis may not know much about sex or be experienced enough as a teenager, but he is getting a first-hand course by living with a sex therapist: his mother Jean.
Many of the viewers began the show because of Gillian Anderson, but a lot of them immediately fell in love with Waddingham who portrays Sofia Marchetti. She is one of Jackson’s mothers and has been on the show for all three seasons.

Midsomer Murders
Midsomer Murder is a TV series that has been on the air since 1997 and aired its 23rd season on December 2022. The show follows a chief inspector and his sergeant as they investigate different murders that took place in the community of Midsomer County.
Waddingham joined the show for one episode in 2021 as Mimi Dagmar. She was on for season 22, episode 2, “The Stitcher Society,” and worked alongside Ted Lasso cast member Annette Badland.

Game of Thrones
What surprises people the most when they look into Waddingham’s career is that she was the shame bell nun, Septa Unella, on Game of Thrones. Her character appeared in three episodes during Season 5 and five episodes during Season 6. However, most people take long to put two and two together because they believe Waddingham looks completely different on the show.
There were times in the series when the TV show went beyond what was told in the books. During Waddingham’s last episode on the show, it was implied that her character was assaulted and murdered.

Waddingham joined the cast in 2014 for seven episodes during Season 6 as Tonya Dyke. She is a wife and mother of two who is recognized for annoying her husband and talking to her children as if they were toddlers.
