This sneak peek features Flip (Momoa) a horned fellow with fantastic taste in outerwear. He shows Nemo (Marlow Barkley) around a brand-new dream in Slumberland. He sets the film’s tone quickly, stating “I’m a flipping outlaw, so I don’t play by the rules, but here’s the rules.” Basically, blend in, stay focused and don’t get too attached to Flip. He announces to Nemo “We’re not friends, we’re not partners, I am the boss, el jefe, okay? We do as I say, you got it?”

Not one to just take it, Nemo retorts “So rule number three’s just a bunch of aggressive statements?” The clip ends with Flip declaring that nobody likes a smart aleck. Oh, and throughout their walk, there’s an adorable, stuffed animal pig following them around.

Slumberland is based on a 1905 comic strip by Winsor McKay called Little Nemo in Slumberland. Francis Lawrence directs this adaptation and is no stranger to adopting beloved series. He’s known for movies including I Am Legend, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay and the upcoming The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Jason Momoa’s family-friendly fantasy adventure will premiere on Netflix on November 18. Are you excited about the adaptation, and for more Jason Momoa? Let us know below!
