During Netflix’s TUDUM 2022 event today, we got a closer look at the upcoming season of Bridgerton. And while it wasn’t a trailer like we were all hoping, it was in the cutest way. Siblings Eloise (Claudia Jessie) and Colin (Luke Newton) answered questions about their characters in the series while painting each other and a little message from Lady Whistledown herself. Season three of the regency romance series based on the works of Julia Quinn will focus on Colin and Penelope’s (Nicola Coughlan) romance.

We know that Colin is going to struggle with his feelings for Penelope and see her as more than just a family friend. It looks like Luke certainly understands the assignment here. Claudia also shared Eloise’s feelings on uncovering the truth about Lady Whistledown. With Penelope taking center stage in the next season, her relationship with Eloise and their fight at the end of season two will need to be dealt with. We are sure that this season will be equally heartbreaking and swoon-worthy.

Now, it wouldn’t be TUDUM without something seriously special from the cast. And to help get everyone excited, Nicola joined the Bridgerton siblings to show off her beautiful art and tease us with the title for the first episode, “Out of the Shadows.” And from out of the shadows, our sweet Penelope will come. We are also hopeful that season three will see more from our favorite Viscount and his wife (Jonathan Bailey and Ashley Simone) and set up Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) love story that will hopefully take place in season four.
