It’s Wednesday Addams versus Thing! On Saturday, September 24, TUDUM 2022 presented a new clip for Tim Burton’s Wednesday, featuring our macabre heroine facing off against Thing.
Here’s a synopsis for the series per Netflix Media:
“The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

In the clip, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) is now at Nevermore Academy, loathing the “prison” to which her parents sent. She spots Thing scurrying under her blankets and demands to know why he’s there. Did her parents send him to spy on her and report his findings to Gomez (Luis Guzmán) and Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones)?
After threatening to destroy Thing’s supple skin and pristine nails, Wednesday presents an ultimatum — either Thing swears allegiance to her or suffers the consequences. Thing, understandably, bows down to Queen Wednesday Addams.

Besides Ortega, Guzmán and Zeta-Jones, Wednesday also stars Gwendoline Christie, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mustafa, Riki Lindhome, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Jamie McShane, Naomi J. Ogawa, Georgie Farmer and Christina Ricci. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar serve as co-showrunners, executive producers and writers, while Burton is at the helm for all eight episodes.
