The School for Good and Evil is gearing up for the premiere on Netflix. Today we got the first clip from the fantasy tale at TUDUM 2022. From the looks of things, the students are embracing their destinies.

Based on the book by Soman Chainani, The School For Good & Evil follows Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and her best friend Agatha (Sofia Wylie) as they attend a school that trains heroes and villains. The besties are separated, finding themselves on opposites sides of the school.
In the clip, Professor Clarissa Dovey (Kerry Washington) and Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron) activate the students’ powers explaining the process. As they activate the powers, the students’ fingers start to glow. Professor Dovey explains that the “finger glow helps you become aware of the power inside you.” Theron’s character Lady Lesso then adds, “when your finger glows it means you’ve begun to tap into emotions powerful enough to cast a spell.”
It’s at this point we see that Sophie embraces her inner villain and makes an entrance that rivals any Regina George wanna be. Agatha is shocked by her bestie’s appearance. Sophie has the attitude to match, cutting the line and requesting her powers be activated.
From there, Sophie rules the school. She’s got everyone staring at her, especially a young hero named Tedros (Jamie Flatters). And what is a baddie without her crew. Sophie asks for a truce from her villainess peers, offering make-overs for them all. The longer the clip goes, the more fabulous Sophie looks. She makes bad look good. This show looks like fun!
The School for Good & Evil is directed by Paul Feig. The series also stars Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Yeoh, Kit Young, Peter Serafinowicz, Kit Young, Rob Delaney, Mark Heap, Patti LuPone, and Rachel Bloom. Watch the clip below.
