Benoit Blanc is back on the case! TUDUM 2022 blessed us with delightful surprises aplenty, including an exclusive clip for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, the sequel to the critically-lauded whodunit Knives Out. Director and writer Rian Johnson was on hand for the occasion to introduce said clip to enthusiastic fans.
Here’s a synopsis for the flick per Netflix Media:
“Benoit Blanc returns to peel back the layers in a new Rian Johnson whodunit. This fresh adventure finds the intrepid detective at a lavish private estate on a Greek island, but how and why he comes to be there is only the first of many puzzles. Blanc soon meets a distinctly disparate group of friends gathering at the invitation of billionaire Miles Bron for their yearly reunion.
Among those on the guest list are Miles’ former business partner Andi Brand, current Connecticut governor Claire Debella, cutting-edge scientist Lionel Toussaint, fashion designer and former model Birdie Jay and her conscientious assistant Peg, and influencer Duke Cody and his sidekick girlfriend Whiskey. As in all the best murder mysteries, each character harbors their own secrets, lies and motivations. When someone turns up dead, everyone is a suspect.”

Returning to the fray beside Johnson is Daniel Craig as the charismatic Benoit Blanc. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery boasts an all-star cast, including Kate Hudson, Jessica Henwick, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Leslie Odom Jr., Janelle Monaé, Ethan Hawke, Madelyn Cline and Kathryn Hahn.
In the clip, we see our key players try to open an elaborate puzzle box gifted to them by a mutual friend, Miles Bron. After they crack the box, the characters read Miles’s invitation to his private island aloud. However, it’s not for relaxation but to solve his murder.

I adored Knives Out; the intricate universe Johnson created and the cast of intriguing characters. Daniel Craig shined as Blanc, bringing charm and fearlessness to the role. I can’t wait to see what this sequel has in store for us.
