Another one bites the dust over at Netflix. Announced today by actor Eric McCormack, the sci-fi drama series Travelers has been cancelled after three seasons on the streaming giant.

McCormack took to Twitter in a video message to fans addressing the future of the series. Unfortunately it wasn’t good news. “A lot of you have been asking about the possibility of a season four, but many of you have been saying, ‘Look, if this is it, what a moving and surprising and profound ending it is,’” the actor said. “Well, I’m afraid it is [the end]. Who knows what the future holds, but Travelers Program 1, as we call it, is complete. …Much love from 3468 in the 21st.”

The show had a very interesting premise. Over a thousand years in the future, things have gotten rather grim. And it was because of events that happened in the 21st century. So what did they do? They invented time-travel to send elite teams back in time to help save humanity. To do this, the time-travelers inhabit the bodies of people who are about to die. McCormack starred as a leader of a team of  ‘travelers’ and takes over an FBI agent’s body in the 21st.
