Transference

Over the gloomy weather this spring? Diving into a romance series is the perfect answer to a rainy weekend. Our first pick is Hyang-yu’s Transference. The story follows Su-a, a college freshman struggling with understanding and expressing her emotions. In walks in Taeyang, a second-year sports coaching student who has the ability to sense emotions through touch. This sparks an unexpected connection that only gets deeper as a class forces them to work together on an assignment.
Transference is a series that falls into romance but is really so much more. Su-a and Taeyang struggle with their emotions. One feels too little, while the other feels too much. As their relationship blossoms, we also get the chance to see them learn about themselves, how to express their emotions, and how to deal with the world around them. It’s a heartwarming, must-read series that continues to pull on our heartstrings.
Transference updates on Mondays. Readers can find it on the official WEBTOON page.

Dear Summer Sky

Our second WEBTOON series for this week is Sojang’s Dear Summer Sky. This is another romance story about Gihu, a high schooler and novice photographer, and Haneul, a mysterious transfer student. Gihu struggles with his photography, and after Haneul appears in one of his photos, he tries to convince her to help him. She misjudges his abilities, but after some time, she begins to see what he is truly capable of.
Dear Summer Sky is another WEBTOON romance that expands past the confines of the genre. With both main characters falling into the high school age range, this romance is young and sweet as the story focuses more on their individual growth. It’s easy to forget how, even at a young age, the people around us can make the greatest impact on our lives. The series also features heavy themes like bullying and might not be suitable for all readers.
Dear Summer Sky updates on Mondays. Readers can find it on the official WEBTOON page.
