Full disclosure: I don’t like being scared. But, maybe you do. A lot of people are into that. So, if you’re in the mood for a thriller this winter, you can get one in the Netflix original, The Open House.
The Open House looks to be the exact kind of movie that scares me the most. The threat is in the house. You’re not safe in your own home. And, beyond that, the threat very well may have come with you to that house. I. Can’t. Take it.

In this particular film, a mother (Piercey Dalton) and son (Dylan Minnette) move to a friend’s vacation house after a family tragedy. They just have to make themselves scarce for open houses on Sundays. It seems the house is more open than they thought. There’s some kind of supernatural presence there… or a physical one? Either way, it’s coming for them… and it’s taking pictures!!
The Open House premieres on Netflix on January 19th.
Following a tragedy, a mother and her teen son move to a relative’s vacant vacation home, where eerie and unexplained forces conspire against them.
