Last week’s episode of Vikings, ‘Breaking Point’ on The History Channel was a doozy! So much happened. We got to see devastating French weaponry again. That is until Rollo comes along. Rollo is a one man fighting miracle! And, he is insane, there is that. Lagertha leads an amazing raid with her shield maidens but the Vikings don’t quite make it in.
Ragnar is defeated. Mentally and physically. Paris has been an epic failure so far for the farmer who became king. He is sick, coughing up blood, urinating blood and having visions. Christian visions. So much so that he sneaks off to get baptized but is caught at the end of the ritual by his people.
What does this mean? Would he rather see Athelstan in Heaven then all his fellow warriors, shield maidens (Um, Lagertha!) and children in Valhalla? What does this mean for the remaining siege?
Plus a whole bunch of stuff went down in Wessex. I have no idea how they will wrap this up in the season finale but I sure am looking forward to it!
