The 2D trailer for the 3D version of the movie hints at the three-dimensional special effects by showing certain elements of featured shots projecting beyond the letterbox frame. These include Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) himself as he converses with his daughter, Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton). And another scene, in which Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) is involved in a chase sequence, also promises to be spectacular in 3D.

Another notable example are the (comparatively) large rings circling Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors). They look a lot like the rings earned by Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) earned over the course of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, don’t they?

Still, incredible action is assured by the trailer. Additionally, the bizarre landscapes of the Quantum Realm are sure to look impressive in 3D! Quantumania will also feature the return of Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and her father, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). Like Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp, the threequel is directed by Peyton Reed.

Quantumania is the first entry in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Will you be catching the movie in 2D or 3D on February 17, 2023?
