Crunchyroll has announced the official English language dub cast for Tower of God. The announcement comes with a promise that the cast are working remotely, ensuring a high quality dub while keeping the cast members as safe as possible. The cast includes a mix of accomplished veterans and promising newer talent.
The dub will include Johnny Yong Bosch in the lead role as Twenty-fifth Bam. Bosch is an industry legend and has been active in anime dubbing since the early 2000s. His resume includes Trigun lead Vash The Stampede, the scheming Lelouch Lamperouge of Code Geass, and more recent roles in Netflix’s Neon Genesis Evangelion re-dub, Black Clover, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. Bam’s companions Rak and Khun, meanwhile are Matthew David Rudd (Baal in Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-kun and Leaky-Eye Lica in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) and Chris Hackney (Dmitri in Fire Emblem: Three Houses).
Other interesting casting choices for the Tower of God dub include Valerie Rose Lohmon (Jess Blazkowicz in Wolfenstein: New Blood and the titular Edith in What Remains of Edith Finch) as Rachel. Kira Buckland (far and away best known as 2B of Nier: Automata) as Yuri Jahad. Cherami Leigh (Sailor Venus in ViZ Media’s Sailor Moon dub, among many others) as Anaak. The entire dub roster looks extremely strong and promising. The full list is below.
The Tower of God dub is slated to premiere on May 13, 2020. Crunchyroll also plans to announce dubs for The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me? and My Next Life As A Villainess later this week on social media.
