Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie are teaming up to play spies in an adaptation of John La Carre’s The Night Manager.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Night Manager follows Jonathan Pine, a British soldier turned luxurious hotel night auditor. Pine crosses paths with a French-Arab woman named Sophie with ties to Richard Onslow Roper, an English black marketer who specializes in weapons. The woman provides Pine with incriminating documents, which he forwards to a friend in British intelligence. After Sophie winds up dead, Pine works with intelligence operatives and goes undercover as part of a sting against Roper to avenge Sophie’s death.
But you really didn’t need to hear that info, did you? I had you at Tom Hiddleston, didn’t I. Yep, don’t deny it. Hugh Laurie is just the icing on the cake.
For those of you not familiar with the AMAZING John Le Carre, he’s an author who kinda kicks ass when it comes to all things espionage. He’s best known for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Spy Who Came in from the Cold and The Constant Gardener.
Once again, Tom Hiddleston.
