Fans of Capcom‘s Resident Evil franchise waited patiently this weekend for news on the next chapter to the survival horror franchise. Unfortunately for us, that news never came. But don’t be too upset; Capcom promises we are going to get our next look at Resident Evil Village later this month. They shared on the Capcom Dev twitter that fans will see more news during the Tokyo Game Show.
Their website shares that the Resident Evil Village announcement is set for Sunday September 27, 2020. We aren’t exactly sure what we are going to be seeing, but a new trailer would be a great start. The first trailer gave us so much, but also left us with so many questions. The eighth chapter in the series takes place a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7 and puts players in control of Ethan.

As if poor Ethan’s life hasn’t been bad enough, things are about to get worse. How and why, though? Those are the questions we need answered. Along with why Chris Redfield is back and is he the bad guy now? There are a lot of rumors surrounding Resident Evil Village, including the length of the title as well as potential bosses we might encounter. Hopefully Capcom will shed some light on these during the event.
Resident Evil Village has a release window for 2021 on PC through Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. Let us know in the comments and on social media how excited you are to hear more Resident Evil news!
