HBO Max and DC have dropped the official trailer and key art for the long-awaited third season of Titans. This darker version of DC’s superhero sidekick team follows the Titans as they come of age and find where they belong. But what happens when the past comes back to haunt them?

This new trailer for Titans season three is packed with some pretty iconic characters from the franchise. We know that the team will be returning to Gotham to track down a new villain with ties to the Dark Knight (Iain Glen) himself. The trailer opens to one of the most iconic scenes in Batman history before jumping to the Red Hood (Curran Walters) moving to take complete control of Gotham City.

Dick Grayson – now Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites) and his team head back to Gotham to put a stop to Red Hood. Of course, returning to Gotham City means we are getting the chance to see Barbara Gordon (Savannah Welch). Both Dick and Barbara must come to terms with filling the position of the men before them. However, it looks like the two might have differing opinions on how to handle both situations.

I absolutely love the Bat-family and, more particularly, Nightwing, Barbara and Red Hood. It will be interesting to see how the show handles their dynamic along with continuing the story threads of the other members of the Titans. Needless to say, I am pretty sure we are in for a treat this season.

Titans season three will drop on HBO Max starting Thursday, August 12, 2021. If you haven’t caught up on the first two seasons, I highly suggest doing it now!
