With Age of Ultron pretty much on auto-pilot right now while the entire world lines up to throw their money at Marvel, the studio is now starting to crank the promotional engine on their next big film, Ant-Man, starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, the creator of the Ant-Man suit and technology.

Entertainment Weekly has the first officially released look at Ant-Man’s villain, Yellowjacket. Well, the villain is actually Darren Cross, who is the first villain Scott Lang ever actually faced in the comics when he became the Ant-Man in Marvel Premiere #47. Darren Cross will be played by Corey Stoll. According to the director, Peyton Reed, “Hank Pym’s Ant-Man suit doesn’t have a single weapon, whereas Yellowjacket is armed with plasma cannons.”

Seems a little unfair to put the two up against each other in combat, but Peyton Reed goes on to say, “Ant-Man is very fast when he’s small. Also, when he shrinks, he increases his density, so he’s got increased strength.”

Also, according to EW, Ant-Man’s ability to talk to ants will play a role in him stealing Yellowjacket’s suit.

Make sure you look at the picture closely because there’s a tiny little Ant-Man flying through the air up against the normal-sized Yellowjacket.
