The new year has only just begun, however Hollywood rising star Timothée Chalamet already has quite the packed schedule. Since the release of his latest film, Little Women, the 24 year old has already announced his role in the London play 4,000 Miles and his involvement in the Wes Anderson directed movie, The French Dispatch.
According to Deadline, it’s been confirmed Chalamet will star as a young Bob Dylan in a biopic which is currently untitled, however it’s currently being referred to as Going Electric. With it being so early in the process there is no release date either. That being said it’s expected filming will begin once Chalamet closes out 4,000 Miles on May 23rd.
It’s also been confirmed that Dylan himself will be consulting heavily with the film’s director James Mangold, as it will focus on the singer’s controversial 1965 shift from acoustic to the electric guitar. As of right now it’s unclear if Chalamet himself will be singing and playing guitar or if they will get a stand in.
