This Fan Video About a Frustrated IT Guy’s Log on the Enterprise Is What You Need Right Now

I’m just gonna say it. This Star Trek fan video called IT Guy’s Log: Trouble with Users made me laugh so hard. It’s the best fan video I’ve seen in a while. I had to watch it again and again and again and I’m still laughing. Now, much to my husband’s dismay (really his joy, because he can’t stop laughing either) I can’t stop quoting it. 

Kudos to YouTuber Adam Bergeron, The Bitter IT Guy. With only two minutes his IT Guy’s Log was able to cover so much Star Trek: The Next Generation material. He begins the log with “I had a strange ticket come through today” and then he’s off to the races. As the tickets grow more and more ridiculous, so does his frustration. One of the joys of watching the video as a Trekkie, is giggling throughout because you always know just what episode he is talking about. And having the Enterprise’s IT Guy say out loud what went down on those episodes reminds you how ridiculous it all sounds out of context. How can Holodeck 3 be the source of so much trouble with the senior officers?!? All he can do is say, “Hopefully, that won’t come back to bite us.” And, we know how that goes.
