What a happy day, friends! It’s been a bit since we’ve gotten some news regarding The Vampire Chronicles TV show. So it’s exciting to learn that the series has found it’s home at the streaming giant Hulu! Announced today by series creator and executive producer, Anne Rice, we can now look forward to more.
Written on her social media, Rice announced to the world that Lestat will be sharing the home of The Handmaid’s Tale. Rice and her son Christopher Rice have been pitching the series all over Hollywood so it’s nice to hear that it finally has a home.

We are so happy to announce that THE VAMPIRE CHRONICLES TV series is coming in for a landing at Hulu, the Emmy-winning broadcaster that brought us one of the most seminal literary TV adaptations of our time, THE HANDMAID’S TALE. There will be many more announcements in the weeks ahead, but this is a big one. Thanks to everyone whose been so supportive of this series so far.
While there’s a promise of more news soon, I’m very much excited to hear the series is greenlit. Lestat deserves another outing. Speaking of Lestat, I have my fingers crossed that we’ll have casting news soon. Most of these characters are really well fleshed out in her novels. And if I may be so bold, they’re important to get the right casting. With no offense to Shadowhunters, these characters shouldn’t be apart of a teen vampire romance series; they deserve more depth.
But let’s celebrate! Tell us who you’re most looking forward to in the series. I’m quite looking forward to Lestat and Louis’s casting. Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Vampire Chronicles news. There is currently no news regarding the release date.
