The news is mixed. The Tick creator Ben Edlund took to Twitter this weekend to address fans of the current series and tell them that it has not found a home after its cancellation. But, he’s not giving up.

The series lasted two seasons on Amazon before being cancelled last month. Fans launched social media campaigns to save the show, much like The Expanse fans did last year. But, alas. No luck. Edlund sent out a very gracious and grateful message to those that fought to save the show. Deadline reported, Saturday.

In follow up tweets, Edlund added that he’s looking for other avenues for this cast and this version of the world of The Tick. It starred Peter Serefinowicz, Griffin Newman, Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry, Brendan Hines, Yara Martinez, Scott Speiser, Michael Cerveris, John Pirkis and Alan Tudyk. Both seasons are still available for view on Amazon. Watch it.

The series is gone forever. But is there a movie in our future? As Edlund put it, “#TheTick always comes back.”
