Boo! Call forth the spirits! Fans of supernatural sims rejoice! EA Games just dropped their trailer for The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack on Tuesday and fans seem excited. According to EA Games, simmers (or fans of the Sims) will be able to finally live out their supernatural dreams starting on January 26th.

This trailer boasts that the pack has it all: specters, haunted houses and a Paranormal Investigator career to live out your special Sam and Dean Winchester sims. Even Bonehilda, a staple back from the original Sims expansion pack The Sims: Making Magic as well as The Sims 3: Supernatural is going to make an appearance as a maid.

Simmers who primarily build instead of play scoured over the contents provided in the new trailer since many of the objects featured gives off a New Orleans vibe, something not seen since The Sims: Unleashed, another expansion pack of the original game. Players will also get a new lot type: Haunted houses, the homes where ghosties reside. It appears that The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack is going back to its roots, giving long-time Sims players the nostalgia needed to keep playing.

According to the official Sims 4 website, Sims will encounter specters or little ghosts in-game that do not resemble the actual ghosts strolling around your neighborhood that you may or may not have locked in the ladder-less pool to drown. It seems as though these specters will change the moodlets of your Sims during gameplay, and we even get a new moodlet: scared, according to a tweet by one of the Sims gurus, or game developers. Much like the gnomes of Harvest Day from The Sims 4: Seasons, you will have the opportunity to appease the specters with gifts and they may also leave some “gifts” behind. If you wish to communicate with these specters, your sim can hold a séance to enhance your sim’s Medium skill and determine the mood of the specters.

There will also be a new non-playable character or NPC simmers will be able to communicate with: Claude Rene Duplantier Guidry, a ghost. EA describes him as a “somewhat flirty apparition,” determined to help you navigate the paranormal realm. After banishing the specters, he will grant you a Paranormal Investigator license and you can become a freelancing ghost hunter.

Although The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff pack may be offseason, get ready to get your ghost hunting on. The pack promises a lot of exciting new gameplay for just a stuff pack so fans of the supernatural, be ready to go ghost hunting in New Orleanian-styled haunted houses and restore balance to the natural Sim world once more.
