It seems like forever since Netflix teased their upcoming film, The School for Good and Evil, during Netflix GEEKED WEEK 2022. But the wait for more news has come to an end. The streamer took to Twitter to share a brand new poster and the official release date. The film is being directed by Paul Feig, who wrote the script alongside David Magee. It is based on the books of the same name by Soman Chainani.

The new poster for The School for Good and Evil shows off the differences between both schools. On one half, we see the dark and acid-tongued Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron), who runs the School for Evil. On the other, we see the kind and always sunny Professor Dovey (Kerry Washington), who runs the School for Good. In between are Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie), who share the unlikeliest of bonds. When they are swept away to the School for Good and Evil, things in their friendship and lives take a turn for the unbelievable.

The first unbelievable thing in The School for Good and Evil? The girls are thrown into the wrong schools. Sophie, the golden-haired seamstress with, dreams of escaping her dreary life and becoming a princess. But, she finds herself tossed into the School and Evil. Then Agatha, with her grim aesthetic and offbeat mother who has all the makings of a real witch, is thrown into the School of Good. They don’t think that the powers at be could have been more wrong.

As if being thrown into a new school wasn’t hard enough, the girls must learn to deal with the other fairy tales come to life. We will see the offspring of the Wicked Witch, played by Freya Parks, Captain Hook’s kid, played by Earl Cove and even King Arthur’s kin, played by Jamie Flatters. But even that isn’t enough of a hill for the girls to climb when they learn that, according to the Schoolmaster (Laurence Fishburne), only true love’s kiss can change the rules and send them to their rightful schools and destiny.
