The Runaways are back and they’re more ready than ever. Sort of. At the end of season one, the teens learned that their parents were involved in some very, very bad things. So they ran for it, finally living up to their nickname. Now on the run, they need to hide from their parents and learn to fight back with the tools that they were given. And it looks like there will be some more enemies coming for them.
The trailer shows the group finding an abandoned ruin, potentially the hotel from the comic series. They realize that they are not their parents, but they need to be able to fight them, should they run into them again. So they train – both together and by themselves. “We’re not superheroes…we’re not good at this.” Additionally, we see two mysterious characters – one with a similar staff to Nico’s and another yellow-eyed kid possibly having the same powers as Molly! Is the group over their heads?

First off, love the choice of Run the Jewels “Mean Demeanor” for the music. But this trailer is awesome! The quality looks so much higher than the previous season – there’s gonna be more action, more romance, and more mysteries to unfold. Who are those kids? Maybe Molly has a twin brother we don’t know about? And who’s the kid with the staff? And how the heck is Jonah back to normal? I’m so very curious to find out more. I’m also looking forward to seeing them explore Nico and Karolina’s relationship. In the comics it was explored much later but I like that they’re already exploring it. More representation is always good, in my opinion!
