James Bond fans can’t wait any longer for the release of “No Time To Die,” which originally was supposed to be released on 2nd April but was postponed due to the outbreak.
Because of uncertainty during this pandemic, we are not sure the new date will hold, November 12th internationally, and November 20th USA.
The release is a mystery of its own but, another mystery is “Who will continue the James Bond story after Daniel Craig drops the mantle?”
We have the likes of Sam Heughan to Tom Hiddleston, or even Idris Elba. You shouldn’t forget, in 2005 Daniel Craig was not the first choice in most people’s lists. Know that the most unlikely person to be the next James Bond might carry this mantle.
The question fanning the flames on-air, who’s next? But when speculations are running rampant like this, there are no better places to turn to than odds makers, to get a clue.
James Bond himself has been a super fan of gambling, so we suggest acquiring expert data from professionals. Luckily for us, sports betting community OLBG.com dove deep into this topic highlighting the trends behind past James Bond actors in terms of their ideal age, length and stage of career.
Who’s next?
Michael B Jordan
“Honestly, Michael B Jordan would kill that shit,” Singer Billie Eilish said. “I think he’d kill it.” Jordan has proven to have an amazing star attribute behind him.
Even though it’s unlikely to have an American Bond, we almost had one many years ago. So adding him to the list of most likely to be the next Bond is not something that is not feasible.
Sam Heughan
Unexpected, right? With what I told you earlier, even the unexpected actors like Sam Heughan can have a solid chance to be “the next.” Sam is currently the exact position Daniel was before he got the role.
He might not be very popular per se, but that is not a criteria for choosing. James Bond doesn’t need a very prominent actor—James Bond turns them into one.
Furthermore, Sam has relevant experience in action movies like “The Spy Who Dumped Me” and “Bloodshot.” His role in these movies increased his resume for carrying the mantle.
“He’s also currently the bookies’ favorite to get the part, said research from”, gq-magazine “with odds of 5/2.”
Idris Elba
Elba has constantly popped up to be one of the top lists to be chosen for this role. Obviously, he almost fits all the criteria needed to be the next James Bond actor – he’s attractive, tall, alluring.
Even though some people don’t agree with those personalities, Anthony Horowitz, author of the upcoming novel ‘Trigger Mortis’ said in Hollywood reporter “The bookmakers’ favorite to step into Daniel Craig’s blood-splattered shoes as the next James Bond isn’t suave enough for the role”. Although he received a lot of blow back for his comments on the actor.
Further, Idris has received remarkable awards for his roles in BBC One’s Luther and Mandela: Long walk to freedom.
James Norton
Norton already has a diverse mix of personalities attached to his resume. I’m speaking of studies at Cambridge, an attractive, smart, amazing actor, and he’s also young—32. So if you are looking for someone to carry the franchise to a far distance, he is the right option.
Henry Cavill
Bookies favorite? No.
Cavill is ready for the role, “It’d be awesome to play Bond, a classic Bond, really,” Cavill said, “I don’t think I’d be the person to outdo Daniel Craig at doing Daniel Craig’s Bond. I would love to do a different version and just have enormous amounts of fun with it.”
