The Perfect Contract
February is here, and love is in the air. Kicking off this week’s Saturday Morning Webtoons is Ttusol and Taeza’s romance series, The Perfect Contract. Based on the original work by Kim Sohee, the story follows Junwon and Ju-i. The two strike up a deal to date each other, but under the condition that they don’t fall in love. However, the simple arrangement soon turns into complicated feelings, and the two have to decide whether they can stick to their original promise or let the feelings win.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we can’t help but want to read romance series on WEBTOON. The Perfect Contract is a great read that helps get us into the romance mood. It isn’t an easy “two people fall in love” kind of read. Instead, we are treated to a story about two people trying everything not to fall in love. The exciting part is watching the two figure out that their love story is inevitable, and all they can do is hang on for the ride.

Melting Slowly
Our next series is Team Sabana and Team J’s Melting Slowly. It is based on work by Early Flower and follows Yeomin Chae, a woman who has been living in her half-sister’s shadow. After finding out that her ex-boyfriend has decided to marry her half-sister, Yeomin finds herself in the arms of Hwan Yun. The two strike a deal to get married, but not without some conditions. Can Yeomin learn to let go of her past betrayals, and will they survive the struggles leading up to saying I do?
We love romance tropes, and Melting Slowly happens to feature one of our favorites. A marriage of convenience story can struggle with its characters’ good chemistry, but this series manages that exceptionally well. It’s got enough drama and suspense to drive the plot forward but never too much that it feels overwhelming. And with more than a handful of chapters available, this is the perfect series to tuck into this week to kick off the month of romance.
