Meanwhile, we learn more about Noor (Arienne Mandi) and her situation. She’s risking a lot to secure her family’s escape from Iran. Will her intel tie Peter’s case in with the Iranian mission and the ambassador? Oh, there’s a third plot thread to get into. Seriously.

The Night Agent, “Government Property”
Flashback to seven months ago. At Rose’s (Luciane Buchanan) interview with Artoun (Ari’el Stachel), the CEO of AdVerse, he tells her she’s overqualified for the job. She understands that and tells him she just wants to write code, pointing out she’s really good.
In the present day, Rose waits for a bus in Chinatown to take her to Boston. Pinned down in a warehouse, Peter answers a call on the now-dead Warren Stocker’s phone. It’s the linen suit guy from Bangkok who wants to cut a deal with Peter: If Peter opens the door and tells his men everything Warren said, Rose can travel safely to Boston on the Chinatown night bus. Of course, his men will kill Peter once he’s talked.

Peter realizes that he’s the man from Bangkok, Warren’s buyer. The man sees Peter as a threat because Peter’s seen him and can ID him. He promises to leave Rose unharmed if Peter gives himself up. Peter doesn’t believe him and rejects the offer.
Double Trouble
Grabbing his phone and the recorder, he calls Rose to warn her she’s in danger. She spots the bald man getting out of his car nearby and notices more people who shot at them the night before approaching from the other direction. Ducking through the bus’s baggage storage, she manages to give them the slip.
An SUV crashes through the shuttered door to the warehouse. A gunfight ensues. Peter escapes up onto the roof. Getting back on the call, he directs Rose to run through a nearby restaurant and run out the back of the kitchen, arming herself with a knife. When she gets outside and tells him she’s surrounded by touristy shops, he tells her to change up her look. She grabs a hat and a poncho and loses the short-haired woman and her partner. The bald man’s SUV swoops in. She runs into a building but ends up in a dead-end basement. The bald man grabs her. She stabs him in the arm and runs.
Weaver’s Move
Back on the street, she tells Peter the bald man is still following her. Suddenly, an arm reaches out and pulls her into a dark alley. The bald man walks past as Catherine shushes Rose to keep her quiet. Peter’s line goes dead. He peeks around the corner and sees an armed guard waiting by his van. He returns the way he came and lowers himself to the ground. Hiding, he tries calling Rose again, but the call doesn’t go through.

At the other end, Catherine asks if Peter’s trying to call her. Rose texts Peter that she’s with Catherine and if he’ll meet them. Catherine’s worried about him because he has less experience than her most junior night agent. Rose says that Peter will meet them at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Catherine reminds Rose that Peter chose to be a night agent while Rose didn’t. She offers to send Rose back to California with a protective detail.

Almost Out of the Cold
Peter meets Rose and Catherine at the park. Catherine shows him a picture she got of the bald man who tried to grab Rose. She asks Peter who he is. Peter says he’s the man who killed Alice (Brittany Snow). He tells her that Warren’s dead, killed before he could tell him anything.

Back at his apartment, Peter stares at the digital recorder with Warren’s confession on it. She asks him what Warren’s buyer sounded like and suspects he was the man who called her and got her looking for Peter. He used her to find Peter. Rose tells Peter that she’s going to take Catherine’s offer of protection and return to California as soon as possible.
