It seems like a lifetime since we got our first preview of Netflix and Mike Flanagan‘s The Midnight Club. But, thankfully, this week, Netflix has taken pity on us, horror lovers, and dropped some first-look images. The series is based on Christopher Pike’s novel of the same name. The photos are a brief view of what we can expect to see when the series launches in October.
The Midnight Club takes place in a hospice center called Rotterdam Home. But this isn’t your typical hospice center; it is home to terminally ill teenagers. They form a club to help pass the time and deal with their inevitable deaths. And, of course, this club meets at midnight, which eventually becomes the club’s name. They spend each night sharing little ghost stories and ultimately make a pact that the first of them to die will make every effort to contact the others from the great beyond.

The original teaser was spooky, and these first-look images help to remind us of that. At first glance, these teens might look like happy, somewhat healthy kids. But the more you look, the more those smaller details come to light. It’s in those little things that the real frightening moments of this series will shine through. The Midnight Club members will be portrayed by Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, William Chris Sumpter, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard and Sauriyan Sapkota. They will be joined by familiar faces Zach Gilford, Samantha Sloyan and Matt Biedel.
The Midnight Club will hit Netflix starting on October 7, 2022. We’ve shared the new images down below. Are you excited to let this series terrify you? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
