In a tweet sent on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, (during Good Morning America) The Marvels teaser trailer made its debut. Set to “Intergalactic” by the Beastie Boys, the trailer features big roles for the three leading heroes, Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and Carol Danvers (Brie Larson). We also get treated to plenty of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and the return of both the Khan family and Goose the Flerken.

Teasing a galaxy-spanning story that sees the superpowers of the three heroes inexplicably intertwined, the trailer for the Nia DaCosta-directed movie will have you counting down the days until the movie’s scheduled release.

The Marvels

After opening on a space station where Fury and Rambeau are conducting an experiment, The Marvels trailer swiftly connects with the post-credits scene for the 2021 Disney+ series Ms. Marvel. In that scene, a confused Danvers appeared to replace Kamala in the latter’s bedroom. As revealed by the trailer, all three heroes have had their powers entangled. When one activates their abilities, it seems they switch locations with one of the other three.

This leads to both action and hijinks alike, and who doesn’t like hijinks? The premise’s promise is seemingly fulfilled as the heroes are unexpectedly thrown into the middle of cosmic battles and Bollywood dance numbers.

Furthermore, the trailer promises that new and exciting character combinations will be unlocked. These include a meeting between Fury and the Khan family. Other scenes from the thrilling trailer boast a new costume for Danvers, the further development of Rambeau’s powers, more Avengers-level geeking out for Khan and what appears to be a whole herd of Flerkens. And, of course, as you can expect from any Marvel team-up, it looks like all three heroes will battle each other at one point.

The movie won’t make its debut until autumn 2023. However, The Marvels trailer will likely play before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 when it arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023. As good as this trailer looks on a computer or cell phone screen, it will be even more enticing on the big screen.

Previous MCU movies and shows are available for streaming on Disney+. You can watch The Marvels in theaters on Friday, November 10, 2023. Check out the teaser trailer below!
