In a Tweet sent on Monday, April 10, 2023, the official Marvel Studios Twitter account teased The Marvels trailer with an enigmatic audio/video clip. Furthermore, Marvel Studios followed up with a Tweet announcing that the trailer for the movie will debut tomorrow, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, during Good Morning America.

The Marvels Incoming

The clip was Tweeted alongside the message “BREAKING: newly obtained audio from space.” In addition to sound effects like a “low space hum” and “static,” the clip also includes several voices. The first, and possibly Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), asks, “Hello?” Next, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) asks about the location of Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris). Then a third speaker, possibly Rambeau, says “What the?”

The sound effects and dialogue are presented over the image of a celestial body. This may possibly be a wormhole, pulsar or another space phenomenon. The clip reveals very little about the movie’s plot. Furthermore, it doesn’t include all of the major characters in the movie, apparently omitting Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani). However, it is a teaser for a teaster, after all.

The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta. It is a sequel to several previous Marvel Cinematic Universe releases, including 2019’s Captain Marvel, 2021’s WandaVision, and 2022’s Ms. Marvel. While the sequel was originally scheduled to arrive in theaters in July, it was recently rescheduled for release on November 10, 2023.

Before The Marvels arrives this autumn, another big-screen MCU outing will arrive in theaters. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled for release in less than a month, on May 5, 2023. Like the previous two entries, the final outing in the Guardians trilogy will be written and directed by James Gunn. Which upcoming MCU project are you most hyped about?
