The Mandalorian

With all of the success season one of The Mandalorian  had this past few weeks plus the epic finale released just yesterday, it was no surprise that we were getting a season two. The show has really been a flagship release for Disney+. Director Jon Favreau took to Twitter last night to give us one of the best holiday gifts yet, the release date for the second season of The Mandalorian. Fans can expect a quick turn around with the second season airing in Fall of 2020!

He also teased an image of a character who appeared briefly in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. The orc-like Gamorrean can be found working as guards inside Jabba’s palace. It will be interesting to see what other surprises season 2 of The Mandalorian has in store for us and where these adventures will go. The idea of seeing the Gamorrean makes me almost hope we get another Jabba character or even more races from the Outer Rim of the galaxy.

It is exciting to see such a quick turn around for the second season of The Mandalorian. We have become so used to the idea that a show releases all at once on these streaming services and then we wait almost an entire year or more to get the next season. We can only hope that other shows airing on Disney+ in the future will have the same turn around time between seasons as well.

If you haven’t started season one of The Mandalorian (you must be living under a rock) you have some time, but don’t wait too long!
