The first live-action Star Wars television series has wrapped! The Mandalorian has officially wrapped principal photography we learned thanks to The Star Wars Show.
The series will revolve around a lone warrior (played by Pedro Pascal) as he traverses the Outer Rim. It’s set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. Sadly, that’s all we know about the plot. However, the cast list is filled to the brim with surprising casting choices. It’ll star Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Omid Abtahi and Emily Swallow.

The series is executive produced by Jon Favreau and Lucasfilm animation guru Dave Filoni with Favreau also writing. Directors for the series include big names like Filoni, Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
I’m really looking forward to any and all footage from the show. Production has been so quiet, I’m so curious to see the tone of the series. Or at least find out who everyone is playing! Hopefully there will be a teaser in the upcoming days – we’ve all been waiting patiently!
