Deadline is back with the exclusive news for the Disney Plus original series The Mandalorian. Season two has officially wrapped and we now know that Michael Biehn has joined the cast and Bill Burr will be returning. Burr will be returning to his role as Mayfield, the ex-Imperial Sharpshooter who betrays Mando on a job. We knew there was a chance we would come across him again. No mercenary is going to let being locked in a prison cell slide.
Not much is known about Michael Biehn’s character for season two of The Mandalorian other than he is reportedly a bounty hunter from Mando’s past. Having a better look into the past of Mando is exactly what we want to see in season two, right after more Baby Yoda. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the season and whether Biehn’s character will be a good guy or a bad guy. Biehns and Burr are joining fellow cast members Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and the recently added Rosario Dawson.
If you haven’t gotten the chance to catch up on season one of The Mandalorian we highly suggest using your social distancing time to catch up. Set five years after Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Empire. It is storypacked, full fo action, and has Baby Yoda. What else do you need?
The Mandalorian is set to air on Disney Plus starting October 2020.
