If you were looking for your hit of fantasy dopamine today, Amazon Prime Video has something right up your alley. They have dropped a new official teaser for their upcoming series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Prepare to return to Middle-earth as we are given a look into the fabled Second Age. The epic fantasy drama takes place thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power teaser introduces us to what the races of Middle-earth have to protect. Dwarves and their mines, humans and their fields, elves and their forests. But the Harfoots? They have each other and nothing else to worry about. Or do they? We also get a glimpse at Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), who isn’t ready to lay down her sword. Evil has come to Middle-earth, and she can’t let everyone fall. Thankfully, she isn’t alone as a group of old and new faces band together to save everyone.

The little tidbits of information we get through the teaser only help to heighten our excitement for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. It looks both visually and narratively incredible. Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay have a lot to live up to, but every new thing that comes out only helps to make them look good. We really can’t wait to explore everywhere from the Misty Mountains to Lindon and maybe even some new locations.
Clark is joined by a long list of excellent actors, including Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry and Ema Horvath. We will also see Markella Kavanagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman and Sara Zwangobani.
