Looks like it’s a big year for the late author Henry James. Not only is Netflix’s hit anthology series The Haunting focusing its second season on his 1898 horror novella The Turn of the Screw. But now it looks like director Floria Sigismondi is creating a modern day rendition of the tale in her new movie, The Turning.

The film follows a young nanny (Mackenzie Davis) hired by by a man who has become responsible for his young nephew and niece after the deaths of their parents. And apparently she’s not the first who has been employed for the task. Little Flora (Brooklynn Prince) is sweet but strange while her big brother Miles (Finn Wolfhard) is unhinged and unpredictable.

If that wasn’t bad enough it looks like nanny Kate also has to deal with potential ghosts that may lurk in the family’s lavish home. Add to that bumps in the night, things moving just out of the corner of you eye and spiders. For some reason spiders are involved. Check out all the creepiness in the chilling trailer below!

The Turning hits theaters January 24th, 2020!
