Disney’s Japanese trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is pretty epic! Again, we get a little more information but not the entire plot..
Some highlights (Of course I’ll go back and watch over and over and weep, and probably notice more tidbits along the way):
The trailer begins with a glorious opening shot of Rey, then the same voice over with Maz Kanata asking the question “Who are you?”, Rey answers “I am no one.” We see her traveling with BB-8 and this is new, she asks him, “Where do you come from?” then says “I know all about waiting…for my family.” Now here’s where the speculation begins! Does this get us closer to who her family is? Why has she been waiting for them? Go crazy internet!
We as fans, like to give the Stormtroopers a lot of crap. We joke that maybe they aren’t the best shots in the universe, blah, blah, blah, but from the footage we’ve seen so far, we know this not to be the case. In fact in this trailer a Stormtrooper fires off a mother f’n flame thrower!!! I mean, come on!
The next big shot was seeing Rey with Kylo Ren taking his jagged lightsaber to her neck, gasp!
Then the closing quote of “Hope is not lost today. It is found.”
Tears……
