We finally have it — the full cast of the upcoming Marvel series on ABC, The Inhumans. Over the last week, we’ve heard that Iwan Rheon, Anson Mount and Serinda Swan would take on the gigantic roles of the villainous Maximus, King Black Bolt and Queen Medusa. Yesterday we learned the Ken Leung would take on the role of advisor to the king, Karnak.
Now, as of an exclusive with Variety, we know the rest of the cast.
Eme Ikwuakor will play the cousin to Black Bolt and leader of Attilan’s military, Gorgon, who haves hooved feet with which he can generate destructive seismic waves with a single stomp. He would much rather get into a fight then talk their way out of it.
Isabelle Cornish will play Medusa’s sister, Crystal, the youngest member of the royal family, who has the ability to control the elements of wind, water, earth and fire. She’s described by Variety as “Impetuous and independent,” but also “deeply devoted to her family.”
Mike Moh will play Triton, another cousin to King Black Bolt. His will be the trickier character to pull off as he is fishlike in appearance and can live completely under water. He’s described as “calm under pressure and supremely athletic.”
Sonya Balmores is playing Auran, the “Head of the Royal Guards on Attilan” and is described as “a capable and no-nonsense woman” who is “fiercely loyal to the King of Attilan.”
Finally, there’s Ellen Woglom, playing an as-of-yet undisclosed character, described as “smart, intense, and focused.” This has the unfortunate side effect of making her “social skills take a back seat.” She works at a private aerospace company and is obsessed with space and “primed to be swept up in an adventure.” Our guess is that she will play a character that discovers the Inhumans and ends up being the audience’s window into their strange and alien world.
Speaking of this cast, Marvel Head of Television Jeph Loeb said, “We’re thrilled with this cast. Eme, Isabelle, Mike, Sonya and Ellen round out an incredible array of talent that will finally bring the Royal Family of the Inhumans to IMAX and ABC.” Scott Buck echoed these sentiments saying, “With Eme, Isabelle, Mike, Sonya and Ellen portraying the rest of our leading roles, we have a strong cast that is going to add tremendous depth to our Royal Family.”
And, before any of you freak out, yes, the Inhumans’ 2000 lb. dog, Lockjaw, who can teleport people around the earth and moon will also be in the series — though, how on earth will they pull that off?
Who cares!? LOCKJAW! Everybody loves Lockjaw!
